Sunday 29th January 2023
10:00 until 12:30
Meet up adjacent to the Old Town Beach Café. Get some sea air, and join in with a litter pick
Whether you can stay for half an hour, or for a couple of hours, come and join in! Bring gloves. Bags provided. Everyone loves walking along the beach, but nobody likes walking along the beach covered with washed up litter. Marine debris is having a devastating impact on our oceans worldwide. It's harmful to all marine life, causing injury, entanglement, and starvation when it's mistakenly ingested - all often with fatal consequences. We welcome members of the public to join together with our volunteers and our Marine Debris Campaign to protect and conserve our coastline and marine environments by helping to remove rubbish from our oceans. Join us outside the Old Town Beach Cafe before we head down to begin the day. -if you have any equipment (a litter picker) of your own please do bring it along! We look forward to seeing you there ...
Price: Free to take part
