Saturday 12th to Sunday 13th December 2015
10am to 5pm daily
An exhibiton of figurative paintings including English folk dancers and farm animals.
A lively bunch of subjects will be on display in an exhibition of figurative works by Barbara King at Ringstead Village Hall over the weekend of 12th/13th December. Known for her paintings depicting the Norfolk coast and countryside, this exhibition concentrates on the animated subjects to be found in her figurative works. The vigorous and colourful spectacle of dancers of the English folk tradition of clog, morris and molly are captured in oil and watercolour at a moment of time within the dance. Representing animals and birds are cows, sheep, pigs, geese and seagulls which like the dancers, exude a great deal of character and presence.
