Times They Are A Changin’
We’re back in the care of the original owners Jason & Alister Borthwick, and run by a friendly new team headed up by Chris Haycock and Laura Goodwin.
While we have a Winter of hard work ahead of us on both the campsite and in the hostel, we are open and ready to welcome you to stay right now.
We have fixed and turned on the heating so it’s lovely and warm, with plenty of hot water; we have deep cleaned and polished all the rooms and public areas so it’s fresh and sparkling again; the rooms have been re-decorated and we have brand new linen on all the beds.
Our dorm rooms are fully up and running again, and we have re-priced everything so you can stay from as little as £12 per night in low season! There is a warm and friendly welcome awaiting you, so why not come and stay this Winter, or go online to our new website:
Work on a new toilet and shower block has already started, with some 16amp electric hook-up connections together with a chemical toilet disposal point to come.
We have already installed new and hygienic hand towel and hand soap facilities in the existing toilet block and are in the process of re-measuring all the pitches to ensure everyone has enough space.
New hedging and tree planting is aimed at softening the look of each of the more open fields, together with offering more protection for your tents on any breezy days. The free WiFi around the campsite is having a makeover too!
|We’d love to see you through this Winter ... When the birdlife migrating through the skies around the North Norfolk Coast can be breathtaking, and the majesty of the sea and sky across the marshes is awe-inspiring.|
Friday 2nd, Saturday 3rd & Sunday 4th December
This is a fantastic event, taking place all around Deepdale Backpackers & Camping, in 3 large marquees at Dalegate Market, in St Mary's Church and in the Brick Barn of Deepdale Farm by the backpackers hostel. There will be over 120 artisans and producers.
By selling hot drinks and gluhwein, we'll be raising money for Crisis, one of the charities that help homeless people, so please do visit us in the hostel courtyard.
There's entertainment throughout the weekend on four different stages, loads of lovely food and drink, presents and decorations of all shapes and budgets. There's even a Christmas Jumper Flash Mob on Saturday afternoon.
Going to be a great weekend - www.deepdalechristmasmarket.co.uk
We will be hosting our formal re-launch festival, the Deepdale Hygge, over the last weekend in March 2017, coinciding with the Deepdale Spring Market, and we would love your company. Programme to follow.
We are returning Deepdale to its original ethos, that of a quiet, peaceful, relaxed and welcoming place to stay, and from where to explore not just the beauty of the North Norfolk Coast, but also to discover your own quiet corners and empty spaces to fill with your very own personal hygge *.
We will be back in touch again in the New Year, but do please contact us in the meantime with your thoughts and suggestions, or to just say ‘hello’; we’d love to hear from you.
* Danish word, meaning something like inner happiness.
Wishing you and your family a merry Christmas and a peaceful and happy New Year
