Great British Beach Clean

Friday 18 to Friday 25 September 2020
See website for times and locations

Help the evironment this September, by joining the Marine Conservation Society for the Great British Beach Clean, a week of citizen science from 18th – 25th September 2020.

Like many events, this year the Great British Beach Clean looks a little different. Rather than encouraging volunteers to find a beach clean happening near them, we’re calling on individuals to adopt a 100m stretch of beach and organise their own beach cleans, with smaller groups of friends, family and ‘bubbles’, in line with government guidance.

Click here for information about organising your own beach clean, and become a Beachwatch Organiser - www.mcsuk.org/beachwatch/organisers

Those not able to get to the beach can take part in our new Source to Sea Litter Quest and try to spot (and pick up!) common beach litter items in their local area. People can sign up now to be sent the resources to take part closer to the time - www.mcsuk.org/campaigns/sourcetosea-home

Price: Free, and feels great too!

Location: Pick a beach, pick an area
