As the North Norfolk Coast begins to move out of Covid-19 lockdown, and tourism businesses re-open, more planned events are taking place. These are just listings, so please follow links and check with organisers of events before assuming events are running.
Prehistoric burial mounds are found all over the British Isles, with more than 300 surviving in Norfolk alone. Each one has its own story to tell, from the burial of one person to many, from simple structures to elaborate timber circle
This workshop, led by David Robertson from Archaeology East Anglia, will explore the different types of burial mounds and excavated evidence, with an afternoon field trip to Norfolk’s largest prehistoric cemetery. Participants will need their own transport to visit Salthouse Heath, where we will be walking about 2 miles. Booking essential: 01263 740008
Price: NWT members £22, non members £26.
Location: Norfolk Wildlife Trust Cley Marshes, Coast Road, Cley, Norfolk, NR25 7SA
