UEA Lecturer in Contemporary Literature Jos Smith will introduce the work of the arts and environmental charity Common Ground and plot their emergence from the environmental activism of the 1970s to become a significant influence on British conservat
He will explore the relationship they drew between conservation practice and the arts and the way their founding idea of ‘local distinctiveness' emerged from this relationship.
