As the North Norfolk Coast begins to move out of Covid-19 lockdown, and tourism businesses re-open, more planned events are taking place. These are just listings, so please follow links and check with organisers of events before assuming events are running.
Founded by the North Norfolk Railway, the 1940’s Weekend has grown into one of the biggest events of its type in the country.
It began as an event on the Stations of the NNR. Such was its popularity with so many of the town’s businesses and traders getting whole heartedly behind it, that it soon grew to encompass the whole of Sheringham Town Centre.
Hear
Fantastic lineup of musical entertainment for you this year. The Skyliner Big Band, Sarah Mai, The Knightingales, AndyAV8 Vintage DJ, The King Size Papas, Timescape & DJ Drive Time.
Taste
Wartime rations, tea, together with spam sandwiches, from the NAAFI at Weybourne.
A Cup of Char’ and a Wad’ from the Institute tea rooms at Holt.
See
Jitterbug dancers, re-enactment groups, a collection of 1940s vehicles and veteran and vintage bicycles.
Feel
The excitement, fear, hope, and bravery of the Blitz.
Smell
The golden age of steam.
All in all, experience a very British weekend!
