A local, friendly cycle sportive followed by a garden party with food music, beer tent, and more. A great way to spend the day: Ride North Norfolk
Fakenham's own official British Cycling Sportive is back for its fifth year. It's great for all ages and abilities and is a sociable, healthy day out. This is a well signed and supported ride.
What better way to spend your bank holiday Sunday than riding through some of our best cycling country, then coming back and relaxing in our walled garden and enjoying some live music and great food. Maybe even a pint of locally brewed beer.
Starting from the Fakenham Community Centre it goes through some of the best gentle cycling routes in the country. It is a local community ride, with locally sourced food including Fakenham Country Markets – who are selling homemade cakes and bacon butties. Choose from our great routes of approximate lengths: 15 miles, 25 miles or 36 miles, 62 (100k) miles or 100 miles.
Included is:
• map
• signage
• free drinks, home-made flapjack and fruit on the route
• trophy or medal when you finish
• free draw string goodie bag on arrival
• free souvenir water bottle
• GPX /Garmin files
• mobile mechanics and rescue service
• our local knowledge and experience offering support and information
• a social event at the Community Centre and garden including food, music and stalls
• first aid at start and finish
After the ride join us for live music, food, coffee, tea and cakes, beer tent with local real ales and cider, massage, stalls, and more in the Community Centre walled garden. The garden event is free and open for all riders and residents to enjoy.
Come along and join in.
