As the North Norfolk Coast begins to move out of Covid-19 lockdown, and tourism businesses re-open, more planned events are taking place. These are just listings, so please follow links and check with organisers of events before assuming events are running.
Held every August, this classical music festival offers an amazing variety of music. It’s been running for over 10 years and was founded by world arts traveller Barry Cheeseman and the distinguished British viola player Simon Rowland-Jones.
Performances centre around South Creake, many taking place at St Mary’s Church, a beautiful medieval church boasting an impressive 15th century ‘angel roof’. It provides a fine venue for many of the performances. Other venues include Holkham Hall and sometimes, other local churches.
South Creake is only a few miles away from the Norfolk coast and for classical music lovers, this two week festival is very special and greatly enjoyed.
