Virtual Deepdale Beltane

Our whole team are absolutely gutted that we aren’t welcoming you all to the first Deepdale Beltane this weekend. There would have been the wonderful live music from Man The Lifeboats, The Beau Bow Belles, John Ward Trio, Annie Dressner, The Tin Heart Troubadours, Matt Watson and Martin Day, and of course fine real ales from Moongazer Ale (Norfolk Brewhouse). But the world had other plans and so we are all at home instead, keeping safe and cheering for the NHS, care workers, delivery drivers and shop staff who are doing such amazing work.

GREAT NEWS – Man The Lifeboats are performing a special Lifeboat Lockdown set through their Facebook page this evening (Saturday 2nd May at 8pm) – www.facebook.com/events/645538092659557/

So instead of dancing in the Brick Barn, we encourage you to dance in your living room or kitchen, and enjoy great music from the wonderful acts we would have hosted this weekend.

There’s lots of ways to listen, but best of all would be to buy the CDs, vinyl or downloads directly from the band websites.

Man The Lifeboats

These lovely chaps have rocked the Brick Barn in the past, and will return to Deepdale when all this strangeness passes over. Their Bebut Album is superb and recently released – When The Time Bell Rings. Highly recommended and available through their website www.manthelifeboats.com

The BeauBowBelles

This was due to be the debut of The BeauBowBelles at Deepdale with they wonderful harmonies, and fingers crossed we’ll host this wonderfully talented band in the not too distant future. Their albums, singles & merchandise are available through their website www.thebeaubowbelles.com

John Ward Trio

John Ward has played at Deepdale at previous music events, and is a hugely talented musician and writer. Like all these wonderful bands, we hope to host them back at Deepdale again soon. John’s albums are available through his website www.johnward.org.uk

Annie Dressner

This weekend was to be Annie’s debut at Deepdale too. Sadly this ex New Yorker won’t be performing her stunning vocals in the Brick Barn, however you can buy her music through her website www.anniedressner.com

The Tin Heart Troubadours

This wonderful trio have supported a few events at Deepdale, and last year performed the most wonderful special concert with a string quartet in St Mary’s Church. Follow them on Facebook www.facebook.com/thetinhearttroubadours/ or buy their music through Bandcamp thetinhearttroubadours.bandcamp.com

Matt Watson

Many of you have seen Matt at various events at Deepdale, and sung along with his Let’s Jump Ship fan video. He was due to play Friday evening of the Beltane, but we have no doubt he’ll be back at Deepdale soon. Find his music on Bandcamp mattwatsonmusic.bandcamp.com

Martin Day

Martin joined us for Deepdale Festival 2018, and was due to play on Friday evening of the Beltane, while you enjoyed street food in the hostel courtyard. You can follow him on Facebook – www.facebook.com/100004940087598/

Deepdale Beltane Spotify Playlist

We’ve created a Spotify Playlist featuring all the artists who would have played at Deepdale Beltane 2020, so hope you enjoy.

Moongazer Ale (Norfolk Brewhouse)

And of course not forgetting the lovely folks from Moongazer Ale, who would have been keeping you watered over the weekend with their lovely ales and other local drinks.

Moongazer Alewww.moongazerale.co.uk

The brewery is still producing, so please do order from them. Either www.beersofeurope.co.uk/beer/producer/moon-gazer OR pre-order direct for collection from the brewery on a Friday OR buy from local stockists

Sorry again that we aren’t all dancing in the barn this weekend. We hope we’ll see you all at Deepdale again soon. In the meantime Stay Safe, Stay Well!
