Deepdale News – March 2020

Hi

As Spring rushes towards us through the wind and rain, we have great news.*   We have launched a brand new festival, our Beltane, to bring in the Summer the Deepdale way.

We’ll have wonderful food, fantastic local ales, and some brilliant music from the likes of Man The Lifeboats, The BeauBowBelles, The John Ward Trio, Annie Dressner, The Tin Heart Troubadours, Matt Watson and Martin Day.

It’s happening over the weekend of 1st – 3rd May (which is not the Bank Holiday weekend this year!) and we just had to have some Morris dancing too!  King’s Morris from King’s Lynn will be joining us on the Saturday to celebrate the season.

The best news is that we have electric hook-up pitches available for that weekend, and there isn’t an extra ticket price, just our camping pitch / hostel room fees.  Book here deepdalecamping.co.uk/beltane/ or by phone on 01485 210256.

* If you love our music events, need an electric hook-up, and find you can’t now book an electric pitche for our Hygge in March or Festival in September because they’ve sold out!

Private Room Improvements
A great value stay on the coast

We have been working hard this Winter to improve our Cartshed rooms, and we really hope you’ll like the changes.  We’ve removed the old corridor, which has enabled us to make two of the rooms larger and create new external entrance doors and windows.

The rooms are much lighter, with enhanced ventilation, and all now have new showers together with heated towel rails in their ensuite bathrooms.

We think you should come and see the improvements for yourselves, so we have a cracking early season offer on for midweek stays right now, which extends until 1st April.

3 for 2 Midweek Rooms
An unbeatable value stay on the coast!

Running now, and extending until 1st April (excluding our Hygge Festival weekend, 27th – 29th March), we are offering 3 nights for the price of 2 on all stays from Sunday through to Thursday night inclusive.

This includes our newly refurbished Cartshed rooms, and our newly arranged Large Family Room (sleeping up to 6 people, ensuite & dog friendly).

This means a couple can stay in one of our clean, warm ensuite private rooms for just £80 for 3 nights … Exceptional value!

To book, please phone our friendly team on 01485 210256 or reserve online at deepdalecamping.co.uk/backpackers-hostel/

It’s Hygge Time (almost)

In just under a month, we’ll be celebrating our Hygge Festival – 27th to 29th March.  It’s our opportunity to get all warm and fluffy about our wonderful location here on the beautiful North Norfolk Coast.  We’ll have guided walking, running and cycling activities, storytelling around the firepits in the Backpackers Courtyard and knitting and yarn-bombing sessions, stargazing and great local food and drink, and of course fantastic hot chocolate!

The Deepdale Spring Market will be showcasing some of the best Norfolk based crafts and makers, together with our Hygge Fair where you can meet and chat with some of our local activity providers and nature and wildlife charities.

Live Music is a big part of the Hygge, with the best original musicians from Norfolk entertaining throughout the weekend.  Friday night sees our annual ceilidh, provided this year by Whirligig.  Then on Saturday, there will be wonderful tunes from Nuisance , Breeze Redwine , Lucy Grubb , Wendsum , Ben Denny Mo , Sam Coe and the Cobbler Bob String Band.

We have just a few non-electric camping pitches left, plus one large family room in the Backpackers hostel, but we do also have Day Tickets available now for the music on Saturday.  For more information and to book, please visit our website or phone us on 01485 210256 or deepdalecamping.co.uk/hygge/

Festival Line-up Heads-up

The line-up for our September Festival is being released online and on our social media right now, and we’re very excited about it! Suffice to say, if you haven’t already booked to stay with us, you have almost missed the boat – only non-electric Overflow Field pitches remaining now.

We’ll have more news about the Festival on our future newsletters, including deals through other local accommodation partners, so if you fancy seeing the likes of Martin Simpson , 3 Daft Monkeys , Little Red Kings , Alden Patterson & Dashwood and many, many more … Stay tuned …
