Enjoy sleeping under canvas, without having to struggle to put up your own tent - You could describe it as posh camping, often called glamping!

We have six Tipis on site.  Four are positioned in the Woodview Tipi and Yurt area and the other two of these are amongst the main campsite.  Bookings with an adjacent pitch will most likely be in one of these two, any other booking could potentially be in any of the Tipis that we have on site.

Unload your bags, remember your sleeping bag or duvet and move into the relaxed space that is a Deepdale Tipi.  Why not spend a few nights staying in one of our authentic Sioux Native American style tipis (teepees or tepees) for a romantic short break or family holiday.  You will be staying in the king of tents with room to stand, walk around and enjoy the company of your partner or family around the real fire.

It doesn't have to be this way with the new genre in luxury, comfortable camping and campsites. You may feel like you are cheating a little but you're there for a holiday, to get way from it all, why suffer? There are many new types of posh camping holidays (glamping) and our Authentic Mongolian Yurts are one of them.

A yurt, or a Ger as it is known in Mongolia (yurt is a Russian word meaning shanty, so not considered polite!) is a domed home made up of a wooden frame formed by a number of joined wooden lattice walls with a roof made of a central crown with roof poles radiating out and sitting on the top of the walls. The frame is covered in fabric or skins.

Historical evidence suggests that yurts have been used by nomadic people for over 2000 years - the design is superb - portable, yet strong enough to withstand Siberian winds - Mongolia has the widest temperature range in the world - from a blistering +45°C to a biting -55°C. The shape deflects the fierce winds around and over the yurt, ideal for staying cosy on a beautiful Norfolk night!

All Yurts sleep a couple, family or small group comfortably (up to 8 people).

Deepdale now has 4 Yurts on site, 3 sleep up to 8 people and 1 sleeps up to 4 people. If there are up to 4 people in your party you could be located in any of our Yurts but most likley the smaller one sleeping up to 4 people. Yurt 1 is the one you see pictured on our website and has regually received fantastic feeck all our Yurts are very similar and only differ in size. We also now have 2 Dog Friendly Yurts on site.

Bring your own sleeping bag or sheet and duvet, or they can be hired for an additional cost of £4.50 for a double duvet, £3 for a single.
